Winterbourne Earls After School Club Newsletter
Dear parents and carers,
A belated welcome back after the half term break! I hope you had a good one!
I'd like to let you know about some changes within the after-school team.
As you are all aware Jodie left at the end of last term to pursue her career as a ‘Speech and Language therapist’ in Oxford. I have now officially taken over the role as ‘After-School manager’ and very much look forward to the new position. I will be working til 6.00pm daily so I hope to touch base with most parents throughout the week.
I have been working alongside the team and children to ensure we have some fun exciting activities planned to keep the children busy over the next few weeks. If they mention anything at home that they would like us to plan or change within the After School Club, please feel free to have a chat with me.
We welcome new ideas and thrive to make the club enjoyable for all the children who attend.
I would also like to take this opportunity to welcome Lauren Higgingbottom to the team. Lauren joined us from Monday 24th February. She has a level 3 childcare qualification as well as the experience of being a busy mummy to a gorgeous toddler. I am sure most of you have met her by now and the children have certainly enjoyed having a new face to get to know.
Any old shirts?
We are planning lots of fun things for the children to do while with us - ranging from arts and crafts to board games and group activities. If you have any old t-shirts or shirts (adult size) that we could have to protect the children's clothes while painting or glueing, we would be eternally grateful. (And so will the parents of the more messy children!)
Slight change with timings
As the afternoons are now lighter, we are changing the timings that we walk back down to Bourne Valley. (Monday to Thursdays only)
We will aim to leave Winterbourne Earls school at 5.45pm, to get back before 6pm. Here's hoping for less rain, and more sunshine!
If you have any questions or queries, please do not hesitate to speak to me or you can contact me during the day (9-3pm) at the Bourne Valley office on 01980 611766.
Many thanks for your continuous support.
